Agreed. There seem to be lot of moths identified online as A. affitinalis which look very similar to this moth.

I agree that moths and other insects don't recognise State boundaries and with changing weather boundaries will be expanded or reduces but the BOLD specimens are top of NT and when I looked at ALA, the 2 there seem to have location "not specified" - I think expanding range from northern NT to ACT might be a step to far for my logic :)
