Before the revision it would have been dentata, the scalloped dark dorsal pattern is diagnostic.

Thanks for the ID @wombey and for the info about the diagnostic feature. This is a first for me. I just listened to the audio sighting here on CNM and can say I've never heard one calling here on my property. I've heard lots of other species, most of which I've also seen.

Their call is very much like the call of a Glossy Black Cockatoo. I've heard it in the Mayfield area not far from your locality.

A great record Matthew. May be an accidental import to Braidwood but there a few records in the general region - most are to the north and east of Braidwood.
