Caught foot in our sliding door and was banging on the window with its wing.

Looks like a juvenile and it is also alone, potentially injured and away from the colony. Please call ACT Wildlife

Hi @Caroline.Hennessy, From these photos the wings look black rather than red-brown and there looks to be fur all the way down the legs. (That would suggest grey headed flying fox.)

It should be approved as GHFF and not LRFF

Hi @Caroline.Hennessy , just so I am sure I understand, it shows above that you confirmed it as LRFF but are you now saying it is a GHFF? Also where you say 'Please call ACT Wildlife', have you done that or do you need someone else to do, if so I need the address where it is located now, cheers

Hi, this is not my sighting. I was approving the sighting and on my end it says I approved it as a GHFF. My recommendation was for the original poster to contact ACTW.

It is my sighting and I lifted it in the air using a dustpan - it pushed off from it and it flew off and landed in the Eucalyptus tree 10 metres away. They frequently roost in these trees. Janet Russell
