Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

18 Dec 2023

New occurrence of this environmental weed that I suspect first came to Canberra via cattle or fodder imported from northern NSW to Red Hill probably by the 1970s. Its spread since then appears to be along vehicle tracks which suggest poor vehicle hygiene may be behind new occurrences.

User's notes

Growing on rocky road edge and progessing downhill. All plants removed

@HarleyB can you also remove them from Hindmarsh Drive between Red Hill and Mt Mugga Mugga? They have spread to Isaacs Ridge and Wanniassa Hill.

@Mike Do you have a GPS location? Or a google drop pin? I'll go and remove or spray them.

@HarleyB Biggest number in Oxypetalum coeruleum (Tweedia or Southern Star) but there are a few further up the road eg https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4513221. They are mostly in the crack between the rock face and the concrete at the edge of Hindmarsh Drive. I thought I had included them on Field Maps but that was the valerian and euphorbia.
