Do you have any remnant native vegetation in you garden!

Hi @RogerF
Not to my knowledge but we live down from the nature reserve in Murrumbateman where they are listed as a protected species I believe

Just checking the site. On the map attached to your sighting the location is at the edge of a large dam and is not the same as the bee recorded earlier, Could you confirm your street address please for an exact location of the keyacris. Thanks

Is the block behind you still vacant but I assume you are fenced off from it?. When was your house built? Could a small Keyacris population have survived there in your garden from that time or do you think this one moved there but from where?

I visited the neighbouring reserve on 22 May 2022 and photographed 6 different individuals.

How are you going to look after your Keyacris!

@RogerF yes there was a vacant lot behind us for some time, they’ve recently moved in but there was lots of excavation.

I haven’t seen this little one again so I’ll keep my eye out.
Any tips appreciated
