User's notes

Right, so. Weird story. We have pet geese, which is well known in our small town. A community member this evening left this black swan (possibly misidentified as a goose?) in our yard with a text message saying they hoped it was ours. She is going to Wildcare in the morning, but I thought she was worth logging, as she is very out of place here and was found in the middle of the road, apparently. She is extraordinarily calm, and apparently unhurt, though I'm unsure why she did not fight or fly away. Picked her up easily.
