For the fruit.

Upper leaf surface may be glabrous in both species, ID is in the hairs on the leaf underside.

Ok, what are the distinguishing features of bidgee widgee? I think I’ve found it but was going to wait until I get burrs. Can you ID it without burrs? If so, what photos do you need?

That species forms quite differently, it's usually groundcover rather than being a tufted herb like these guys. We can def ID off mature leaves.
