Hi jac, Foetal and recently born animals, and early stage pouch young, are rarely easy to ID but I suspect Danswell is right, Oryctolagus cuniculus. Rabbits this age are in a grass nest under the ground so something unusual must have happened to get it to where you found it.
If you want a 2nd opinion, I suggest posting the photos to the Facebook group Australian Mammal Identification. There are several wildlife carers in that group who have seen near birth young of almost all species that occur in eastern Australia and give as reliable an ID as it is possible to get.
