Sorry I can't provide a better photo or be more specific. I think this is the toenail and foot of something - initially I thought it was an owl pellet, but now I'm not sure. Understandable if it can't be identified
Not an owl pellet, not a toenail. With no idea of scale, and photo from only one side, and item not available to examine, I agree it might not be identifiable. Subject to the scale question, the fur might be coarse, and if so perhaps wombat or swamp wallaby. Bones look long and fine so maybe juvenile macropod.
OK thanks. Well not the species I suggested then. That suggests an animal the size of a rabbit or possum but with coarse fur. I dont know what that could be.
