Can I get an id? It’s near one that had been identified as eucalyptus elata. A crushed leaf was very minty.
There are a number of small trees in this area. Seems to be seedlings from the larger tree. I wonder where the original came from - it’s actually in an odd place to have been planted.

I'd call this E.radiata, I think the strong mint smell is a good pointer as it should be strong in E. radiata, not too sure about E. smithii which is also a peppermint but to me this ID seems good

It seems strange that 2 different species of eucalypts that are not native to AB would be located close to each other. There are about 8 seedlings. I’ll go back to plan b and make a note in my diary to check when it flowers. Elata is August-November and radiata is October-January. Maybe just leave it unidentified for now?

I mean the juvenile leaves of E. elata are reasonably distinct, different from these ones. If they are the same clump I guess they might be the same sp. but otherwise no reason this one might not also have spread into Aranda Bushland. But I'm happy to leave for now.
