Interestingly all our other sightings of this beetle are on bipinnate acacias. Could it have dropped down from one above?

@MichaelMulvaney Had to go back to the photos of the weevil I posted to see whether this was around the same time, as I remembered where I took that photo. There is the 'stream' that runs down to the falls. This was on the edge of that stream. I don't remember anything overhanging that bit, but there may have been. I think there some larger trees a few metres away.
