Leaves on this plant were significantly narrower than the ‘normal’ Lomandra longifolia that I see growing everywhere. Is there a narrow leaf variant? (I included my hand in one of the photos for an idea of scale).

That will be because this is Lomandra multiflora albiet a particularly large specimen. Without flowers or seeds the best ID feature to use is the leaf tips, L.longifolia has 2-3 jagged points while L.multiflora has a single rounded edge (as we can see here).

Habitat and form are also more typical of multiflora.

Thanks, a very massive plant (don't think I've ever seen one this big), so didn't really double check my ID on that alone.
