Probably not a great suggestion, it is difficult to ID spent grasses.

Lachnagrostis filiformis has a more open inflorescence and is paler in colour. These plants have a more compact, redish inflorescence so I suspect this could be Agrostis capillaris.

I added some more photos. When I edit and chose grass as a category, the system automatically chose the first species of the grass. I went back to edit and try to delete, but the system didn't let me. So please ignore the suggested species.

Thanks. These images are much better. I am reasonably confident calling this Agrosyis capillaris now. The primary branches are very short which distinguishes this from Lachnagrostis which has very long primary branches.
