User's notes

Around 14 cm long, including the outstretched front legs (photo 2). On the Bluett's Block nocturnal survey, Ciaran spotted this praying mantis, I'm not sure how, it was so well camouflaged. Ang shone an ultraviolet torch, she had brought, on the mantis (see photo 4). I didn't get a very good photo with the ultraviolet torch (I couldn't keep my camera steady enough and it reacted to the light), but parts of it glowed under the light.
