User's notes

I hope this is not an Asian House Gecko. But, never seen Geckos in suburban Curtin before. Lousy photo only of underside but rapidly ran off into camellias. Have lots of skinks and a blue tongue but this is new.

It's probably a Marble Gecko, Christinus marmoratus, the common species found all over Canberra, but you will need to download an image for CNM to verify

I hope you are right. Will keep an eye out for a better view.

Bunyip, Hmmm, there may be some crossed wires here. No photo of your gecko has been uploaded. If you do have a photo, please try again. If you are reporting the sighting without a photo, please clarify that is the case. cheers

Uploaded now. I thought I had uploaded poor photo through a window and flyscreen. Seems not. Couldn’t get photo accepted through website or app on iOS16.3. Seems ok on MacOS Ventura.

Just FYI Diplodactylus vittatus is a ground gecko and would never be found climbing a house wall. Asian House Geckos have not been recorded here in the ACT, yet! Probably a tad cold for them to survive our winters, but they are creeping south!
