There were a couple of these larger ferns in a creek that looked different to the surrounding ones but not sure if it’s just variation. It was quite wet but I think it could be sori on the underside.
That's really interesting to know - always pays to photograph interesting things I guess. There's certainly some interesting stuff in that area - we found two new species for the ACT in one trip there. I thought at the time it looked a little like Jungle Brake but I thought it couldn't be. It was worth me wading into that creek huh Ciaran ;)
I suspect those gullies are good places to look for new ACT species. They are often so difficult to move through that I suspect most people don't bother. (Also stinging nettles)
