Euribia solstitialis (previously Urophora solstitialis) is a biocontrol agent introduced to help control Nodding Thistle. It is in the family Tephritidae (Fruit flies) and is commonly called the Nodding Thistle Gall Fly.

Thanks Kim, I did have a couple of big thistles in some hard to get to areas. It’s great to see another biocontrol agent on the loose in Murrumbateman
