In a world of Common Browns, it was nice to see a bit of variety.

Unfortunately no. Well, not that jumped out at me.
I was a bit mesmerised by some smaller Common Browns .
There was a lack of Pieris rapae until after 1500hrs. Then a few started appearing, with masses down at the edges of the two fords.

Smaller Common Browns could be Marbled Xenicas, as all Common Browns are essentially the same size, or at least two sizes, but the males and females also have different markings.

Sounds like a good excuse to go back with a different lense and try again! I was trying to get a photo several times and wondering why one amongst a group of 3 or 4 was smaller.

Keep an eye out in any of your travels around the ACT, the Marbled Xenica is widespread and can be found practically anywhere.
