Glume is more than 75% the length of the spikelet: more a Lolium rigidum type.

Thanks. I suggested L. perenne as a sort of default suggestion. I should have been more careful and paid more attention. @Grassman I appreciate your input on all these grass sightings. It has been very helpful.

There are so many crosses of perenne, rigidum and multiflorum out there, that most of the time it is hard to know whether you're looking at a straight species or some type of hybrid
