In amongst a lomandra. J.falcatus is a subalpine species that doesn't occur lower than 1000m and is commonly found in high altitude bogs and seeps (1500-1700m).

Fair enough about falcatus - it was just a wild guess being the only thing I found with similar shape seed/flower heads.

As for your comment about it being swamped by a lomandra, I don't think that's right. I saw several examples (and have photos of at least two different ones) looking exactly the same. So I think the fruiting bodies and the lomandra-like leaves are associated with the same plant. Either that or they have some kind of weird symbiotic relationship :-)

Let me retract that last comment - I went of half-cocked at the end of a long tiring day and was partly getting confused with a different set of photos. There may be enough of the rest of the Luzula in some of my other images to have a better stab at ID.
