Significant sighting

Tapirlord noted:

4 Nov 2022

First CNM sighting of this species, it grows by the hundreds along roadsides west of Wagga Wagga. But is perhaps one that will become more suited to Canberra as our climate becomes drier.

User's notes

Near railway bridge at Ingelara

A newly emerging weed of roadsides? Scattered sparsely along roadside on way to Boorawa too.

There are several different yellow-flowered Brassica, Hirschfeldia or Sisymbrium that are hard to distinguish. Basal leaves and stem leaves are helpful. Did you see the recent Googong advertisement with yellow weed in the foreground? Someone must have thought it was a pretty wildflower, but it was probably Hirschfeldia incana.
