It is Acacia longifolia subspecies. longifolia. This shrub was covered in galls.

Interesting, I saw the same galls on A. longifolia in Hall Horse Paddocks last Wednesday. Its a flower gall and the yellow dots are aborted flowers.

Trichilogaster acaciaelongifoliae has been introduced to South Africa to control invasive wattle Acacia longifolia. See waspweb.org for photos of the adult wasp.

Also proves that this minute wasp has good disperive powers as the A. longifolia in HHP is quite isolated. Many aeons ago when I was investigating insect dispersal in the upper air at CSIRO using a net suspended from a kite at 100-200 m altitude I caught many unidentifed micro-Hymenoptera.
