User's notes

About 20 plants scattered among the rocks in this mid-slope outcrop. Sizes varied from about 5 cm tall to 20 cm tall. Plant in photo probably 15 to 20 cm tall.

I'll be blowed! That's the last thing I thought of - no wonder I didn't find what they were looking for pinkish flowers.

Haha, threw me for a loop the first time I saw it as well, much harder to recognise without the flower!

Thanks for the link, but I beat you to it and already had a look for "evidence" of the pinkish outer petals (calyx?) after your ID. Tricky plants! But it serves me right for wanting to ID before the flowers are open.
