User's notes
Up to about 30 cm high, in a seep area both sides of the track. My USB microscope and dissecting skills are inadequate to identify this grass.

Inflorescence branches not strongly deflexed at maturity except some-times for an occasional branch in the lowest 1 or 2 whorls; glume keel without a seta or if seta present then < 1 mm long

The above is the description of L. filiformis using KeyBase in Flora of Australia for Lachnagrostis.
Some of these criteria definitely do not apply to this sighting.
So what is it?
Lemma awn well developed and strongly geniculate

Lachnagrostis has 1 floret per spikelet so this is not a Lachnagrostis. Perhaps an Eragrostis?
