This young currawong had been sitting near the top of a eucalypt in which Tree Martins are nesting, and which was next to a tree in which Sacred Kingfishers are nesting (see sighting 4417331). The Martins were calling and flying around the Currawong while one of the Kingfishers was occasionally swooping it, until the Kingfisher actually hit it, presumably breaking its back, as it tumbled down from the tree and lay in the grass flailing.
