Significant sighting

New breeding location for this uncommon, localised species!

User's notes

Observed somewhere between 10-12 Fiery Copper Butterflies on one Bursaria spinosa, some also landing on Eucalypt leaves on the ground and on surrounding plants. Butterflies were sitting still, and then occasionally a pair would fly together in a tight spiral for approximately 10 seconds and then break up and land again. Assuming this may be breeding or territorial behaviour? Some individuals had damaged wings and others were in good condition. Photos submitted are of multiple individuals (I have many more images). I pinned the location separately with my iphone so it should be accurate. Really excited about this sighting as I was specifically searching for them after finding one individual in recent days.
