Were you able to identify the species from the face marks?

Tried very hard to get a front on shot but was not successful.

But the face was mostly black with only a small yellow mark in the middle and possibly tiny marks next to the eyes?

The face was mostly black but I can't say anything about any other markings. Until today, I didn't realise the importance of face markings to id bees and trying to photograph a moving bee, face down in a flower is not easy - I'll just have to go back and try again.

The face markings are very important for species in the subfamily Hylaeinae but much less important in most other groups.
