Tammy notes 'Associated plant' as Lavender which is a known larval food plant of Vanessa kershawi (Caterpillars of V. kershawi have been found on Lavendula officinalis in Canberra: Common and Waterhouse 1981).
Sighting image shows white lateral longitudinal stripe and dorsal longitudinal stripes typical of V. kershawi (Ref: https://sabutterflies.org.au/nymp/kershawi_gallery.html#larvae).
Vanessa itea larvae utilise Stinging Nettles as food plant and feature a paler dorsal longitudinal band (Ref: https://sabutterflies.org.au/nymp/itea_gallery.html#larvae ).
