This looks identical to Eccymatoge callizona as shown in MOV and I don't think that it is possible to distinguish between the two species from photos alone.

Looking at BOLD, Eccymatoge callizona is the one prone to extensive white patches.

I've reported the glitch that apparently prevents moth moderators from adding a new species, even though the new species appears in the Quick Search dropdown menu its missing from the moth taxonony itself for ID purposes.

Based on the ANIC collection, E. callizona consistently has this extent of white, and E fulvida has only some white dots.

So the question still arises, if there is no extensive white colouration, how do you tell the difference between the two?
