Though difficult to see on the photo, the abdomen was hairy and tended to go to a point, I couldn't find anyting that quite match the image.

It looks rather small, so another possibility is that it is a Homalictus species. Metallic colours occur more frequently in Homalictus than in Lasioglossum.
To complicate things slightly, Homalictus is currently treated as a separate genus by the Faunal Directory, but molecular evidence suggests that it should be part of Lasioglossum.

Hi Michael, size approx 6mm/7mm I only managed to a couple of images before it flew off, so to to name it in Lasioglossum would be ok, or would you suggest Homalictus.
