User's notes

Street trees with very fine leaves. Sock of rough to lightly fisusured grey bark with smooth transition to smooth grey bark. Unsure if young Euc. radiata or some other out-of-area planting.

Wasn't convinced this was radiata so checked the street tree directory, in this part of higgins Eucalyptus mannifera ssp. maculosa & Eucalyptus nicholii have been planted. The former has a pale pretty much bark-free trunk whereas the latter has grey bark and very fine leaves. The one mature nut I can see also seems to match.

Sighting Eucalyptus viridis (Green Mallee) is a record of plant in photos 4 and 5. I now believe this to be Green Mallee, Eucalyptus viridis.

Confident you are correct it is Green Mallee. Reasons: it is occasionally planted in Canberra, as it use to be promoted by the Australian Native Plant Society, grey-brown smooth bark on upper trunk, narrow linear-lanceolate adult leaves 0.3 to 1.5 cm wide, inflorescence compound with ovoid buds > 7, fruit cup shaped with descending disc, and when in cultivation often is a tree form rather than a mallee.
