User's notes

A meat ant was caught on a web while this spider ran round it trying to keep out of its reach. I don't know if the ant had already been bitten but by the time I got my camera the ant had stopped moving. The spider approached cautiously. Then eventually carried the ant by a thread, down the trunk to its lair under bark at the base of the tree. Amazing difference in size between the spider and the ant.
