User's notes

Commonly occurs entangled in a grass tussock. Is this because this is protected from herbivory ? or because it is a favourable micro-site for germination ?

I think it is the protection. My observation is that members of Fabaceae family are heavily grazed. For instance, FoMM removed large amounts of horehound at various sites (https://majura.org/the-horehound-story/ ) which triggered germination of vast numbers of Glycine tabacina; over years the peas disappeared; there is heavy grazing around in the area.
