Hi Roger, again, two similar genera, both in the same subfamily (Dolichoderinae). They are again generally similar in body shape, colour & size range, and for these two genera I can't even give you much in the way of easy tips to tell them apart - they just look different, based on a number of small characteristics! One useful hint might be that Iridomyrmex usually smells like the characteristic "crushed ant" smell when squashed, but Anonychomyrma has a different and generally more offensive smell when crushed - they have had the common name of "Stink Ants" in some areas.
