Looking at the ALA and Bold Systems 4 I think this moth appears to be quite similar to Scoparia plagiotis. See ALA images here https://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:2b89d9f8-a5a5-49ed-a5dd-88c92bc699b1 Both the ALA and Bold Systems 4 indicate S. plagiotis has only been recorded from Tasmania and Victoria, however a check of records at ANIC might show it extends wider to the ACT and NSW.
