Relatively large Orb weaving Spider, with Distinctive Long legs, Banded orange, white, black Colour markings on legs. Large Web around 1m diameter, associated plants are Silver wattle, Eucalyptus blakelyi, Cassinia. Location, Along Horse Trail Track.

Gets its name from the its web which has a golden colouration. The silk of orb weavers is strong and capable of catching small birds
