Growing on the Summit of Mt Bimberi

Last time I was next to that tree on the summit, there were Yellow-faced Honeyeaters flying overhead, on their migration.

It would've been magnificent to see this place before the fires, shame the lower slopes were burnt so badly. I only started peak climbing seriously in 2021 after the fires, so i am very envious of anyone who climbed this peaks pre- 2020!!

First stood atop Bimberi in 1989 as a teenager, those were the days.
