Amelora oritropha Alpine Striped Cape Moth) and A. leucaniata (Striped cape Moth) are similar in apperarence, but A. leucantiata is more strongly marked with a prominent black streak in the forewing and has prominent black spots at the end of the bold white stripes ending at the trailing edge of the forewing. I have accepted the suggestion that this is A. leucaniata on that basis,
