Is there a reliable way of telling the difference between S. cholica and S. cinarescens by sight from above in a dorsal view?

That is a good question. I was using of the vague broad pale diagonal band from 2/3 costa to mid-margin in the images that I chose for the S. cholica webpage on LBH, which is not so evident in images I chose in my page for S. cinarescens, but now I am thinking some of those images were misidentified !!
So I am going to need notice on that question, while I re-assess those webpages against the original descriptions by Meyrick and Warren.

On range grounds it's more likely to be S. cinerascens, where we have been placing similar sightings.
