Ist record of this South African plant naturalising in the wider Canberra region. It is rated as a minor weed but potential to become more troublesome in the future. I think these are the first notes of it behaving in a significant weedy manor in Australia
User's notes
These plants were planted in the garden here when we moved in. Over the years they slowly spread and started invading the bushland. We removed all the plants from the garden once we noticed this was happening. Although all the plants in the garden were removed a few years ago now, many still are found (and removed) around the back of the property even now. In a relatively short amount of time these plants had spread at least 100m away from where they were originally planted into the bush. Interestingly this species is not on CNM and does not appear to be recorded as naturalised in the ACT previously, and is not included in the latest ACT plant census.
