2 similar species of the mustard family collected from the reported site. The first photo shows a specimen of Buchan Weed, Hirschfeldia incana, the second photo which I include for the purpose to compare the 2 species shows Indian Hedge Mustard, Sisymbrium orientale.
The distinguishing features are the shape of leaves and the size and arrangement of fruits (pods) on the plant. Most of the yellow flowering "Mustard Weeds" on Mt Majura are in fact Buchan. Plants usually grow to around 1m height but Buchan could approach 2m under good growing conditions.
