I wonder if this could be Syringoseca mimica instead? I see that these two secies are easily confused and Im quite sure what to look at when trying to distingush between them.

I suggest S. mimica has two distinct broad white, parallel bands in either forewing amidships with a black dot at either end. The darker mark between them at the inner forewing margin is relatively narrow, and there are two disinct white marks on the costa. G. phoenipis lacks these features.

Yes but those markings are sort of there on this moth and if you look at S. mimica on iNaturalist some of them look exactly like this one. See for instance https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/106108694
