The fly was strong enough to fly off and climb while carrying the cicada.

No but will do so. I was keener on the cicada because it is the 6th species for the Dryandra Street Woodland....

Great to have the observations. There is a good variety of cicadas in the area with plenty nearby on the slopes of Black Mountain.
