User's notes

Large caterpillar on hakea. Possibly the same species as sighting 4360691 on hakeas further down the hill, but the markings seemed different. Sorry I could not reach it to get a photo from above.

6 prolegs suggests Erebidae, but this does not resemble any of the 62 species illustrated in the webpages linked from http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/erebidae/erebidae-cats.html, so is perhaps one of the other 440 named Australian species in that family. Jacky : can you rear it to get an adult moth?
