User's notes

The "Black Tip" Pollination mechanism resets after (accidental) touching. Growing in small groups of 2-5 Floral stems. Each flloret is about 1-2 cm in diameter.

Given the "T" shape of the "black tip", I think this is more likely to be H. cyconcephalus.

Hm. Perhaps this specimen is a Swan Greenhood but not longer in flower?
All those hymenochilus specimen I checked that still flowered in the little patch where MAX took the above 2 photos had a black labellum tip shaped like a M see my comment in sighting mentioned above. I could upload more photos of another specimen if that would be of any help....

Perhaps it is, but I am still suspicious that the top part of the appendage is obscured. The "T" in cycnocephalus is generally lighter and less robust than this. Perhaps I am overthinking this all and we should defer to Tobias's judgement.

In doubt maybe just H. sp? I looked at the sightings of H cycnocephalus and found that the featuring specimen Hymenochilus cycnocephalus (Swan greenhood) had a labellum tip that looked more like those I saw - all very confusing ...
