Con - I'll need a photo of the roots to confirm which species - whether it has a vertical rhizome (see http://www.anbg.gov.au/cgi-bin/phtml?pc=dig&pn=52127) or bulbils (see http://www.anbg.gov.au/cgi-bin/phtml?pc=dig&pn=35601&size=3) or neither. It's a weed.

Great - I've just confirmed it's Oxalis articulata. I've found the species in quite a few places around Canberra; the vertical rhizomes are diagnostic.
