I think this is Nanodectes harpax (Rentz) Small Shield-back based on photo and description in A Guide to Katydids of Australia by David Rentz. There are two other sightings of this katydid also unidentified. I have been seeing another grey katydid in the same areas as I have seen these, and Im trying to work out if they are another species, or an instar, or females.
