A Pacific Black Duck was on the Molonglo River near the weir behind the equestrian centre, swimming upstream against the flow. It seemed to be unaware of my presence, even though I was standing , until I started clicking to take photographs. On realising that I was there it briefly flew across to the other side of the river away from me before landing in the water to keep swimming. Later that morning, when I was crossing back over the river, I noticed that there were now two ducks.
