Large tree on the median strip of Yarra Glen on the city side of the Carruthers St overpass. It has been described as a conifer, pine, blue spruce, fir and cypress. The leaves are small and seem to be tipped with gold/light brown, with small, cube-shaped nuts. There are also similar trees nearby, on the exit ramp from the Carruthers St overpass to the southbound lane of Yarra Glen on the Woden side. Any help in identifying these trees would be greatly appreciated. I would like to nominate these trees for the ACT Tree Register, as they were planted on 'Yarra Glen", a soldier settlement block (the road was named after the property) in the late 1920s.
