Possibly a species of Coltriciella (probably less likely a species of Phellinus). Was it growing on the underside of wood that was lying on the ground? Did you happen to notice (1)if it had a softish texture and (2) whether it was firmly or somewhat loosely attached to the wood.?
This is one of my 'highly plausible but not guaranteed' IDs. There are a few remarks about this species at https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Species/45549.
